Coats for Kids

During August and September, The Salvation Army is looking for donations of winter coats for children in need in Anchorage.

Donate Now

The Salvation Army's 2017 Coats for Kids collection will do more than warm a child on a cold winter day, but also their parent's hearts.  This year's coat drive will start August 7 and continue till September 9.

The coats will be made available to families needing warm jackets for their school age kids, grades K - 12. If you are a family that is in need of a warm jacket for your children, or someone that knows a family in need, please see the instructions below for helping warm up our youth!

To sign up as a Collection Host, Sponsor, or Donor please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Kimberly Dickens, at 907-339-3427 or kimberly.dickens@usw.salvationarmy.org

Give a new winter coat, and warm the heart of a child in your community. #Coats4Kids

The Salvation Army serves more children than any other charity in the United States. Coats for Kids helps prepare Alaska's neediest schoolchildren for success - and eases the minds of struggling parents and guardians. A coat is a crucial safety item in Alaska. Your generous donation helps make back-to-school shopping a little less stressful for thousands of needy families.
