The Bill Stroecker Foundation Donates 100 Silver Bars to The Salvation Army

Members of the Bill Stroecker Foundation present Lt. Colonel Doug Tollerud with one of 100 silver bars which were donated to the Fairbanks Salvation Army.

In December, The Salvation Army of Fairbanks received a tremendous and unique donation from the Bill Stroecker Foundation in the form of 100 silver bars weighing 100 ounces. The bars are valued at over $250,000. Lt. Colonel Doug Tollerud traveled to Fairbanks to accept the donation on behalf of The Salvation Army and to thank the business leaders who had so thoughtfully decided to give to our organization. As long-time members of the Fairbanks community, The Stroecker family’s history here in Alaska pre-dates Alaska becoming a state. They've remained committed to investing in and developing the city of Fairbanks for over half a century.

We are thankful to have such valued donors who come alongside The Salvation Army and assist us in continuing our mission.
